Walking on any of the paths which cross the Monfragüe Biosphere Reserve is one of the best ways of enjoying nature. The great biodiversity and the richness of the ecosystems make it one of the most beautiful nature reserves with the greatest variety of landscapes and wildlife. Exploring it on foot allows us to listen to the birds, smell the flowers and other plants, and view mammals such as red and roe deer. 

To enjoy this landscape to the full the Reserve has several routes on which you can discover the most emblematic places in the territory and benefit from walking in the open air. The Monfragüe Biosphere Reserve is one of the favourite destinations of hiking enthusiasts as it has multiple itineraries suitable for different groups and different needs.

You can follow different kinds of routes, whether guided or self-guided, all of which are very well signposted. Do not forget to observe the regulations while you enjoy your route and remember that it is forbidden to feed the animals, light fires, take plant samples, leave marked routes, or leave litter.
