Astronomical Observatory of Torrejón el Rubio
A location with the sky as clean as the Monfragüe Biosphere Reserve should have a place specially prepared to observe the universe. The Astronomical Observatory of Torrejón el Rubio is one of the main astro-tourism resources to be found in the territory.
Situated on the outskirts of the village in a restored building, it has three powerful telescopes from which to contemplate stars, planets, and galaxies and enjoy a unique experience for old and young alike.
Reasons for discovering it
The skies of our cities have become empty of stars and we have forgotten what the Milky Way looks like or where the Pole Star lies. Here we can enjoy clear skies full of stars and take a closer look at the planets and galaxies which surround them.
When?
From Wednesdays to Sundays at 19:00h to 23:00h in winter, and from 20:00h to 2:00h in summer.
