Monfragüe Geology Interpretation Centre

The geology and the peculiar landscape of Monfragüe are among its main attractions. A visit to the Monfragüe Geology Interpretation Centre in Casas de Miravete will allow you to understand the geological and geomorphologic aspects of the Monfragüe Biosphere Reserve.

Geology enthusiasts can visit this centre which gives advice on geological routes in the area and other interesting itineraries such as the Butterfly Route. The centre has a permanent exhibition with didactic contents on the Monfragüe Biosphere Reserve, its origin and geological heritage (rocks and minerals), and its flora and fauna.

Winter: Mon/Tue: 9 to 14 hour; Wed/Thu: 9 to 15 hour. Fri/Sat/Sun: 9 to 14 and 16 to 18 hours.

Summer: Mon/Tue: 9 to 14 hour; Wed/Thu: 9 to 15 hour. Fri/Sat/Sun: 9 to 14 and 16 to 19 hours.
